Podcast: The Notable Podcast

Hosts: Jonathan Bourman, Timothy Bourman

Description: “Imagine you picked up the most important book in the world, a book with words that could transform hearts. Now, imagine when you opened up that book it was full of highlights and notes in the margins so you could see how this book has transformed someone’s heart. This is The Noteable Podcast.”

A taste of previous topics: The biblical books of Job, 1 Thessalonians, and most recently Ecclesiastes

Length: About an hour

Some thoughts: I could listen to Pastors Tim and Jon Bourman talk about the Bible all day long. They have such a genuine love for God’s Word. Any time that their conversation goes over my head (and it does sometimes), it is not because they are trying to impress their audience with their intellect. It’s because they just approach some topics from a unique perspective, perhaps because they have wrestled with many biblical topics in deeper ways than many of us have. They have also applied God’s Word in challenging situations in the lives of those that they serve. So, while their conversation is approachable and applicable to daily life, it may veer into the philosophical at times. I don’t mind that. In fact, it’s one of the reasons I enjoy listening to them. They approach topics in ways that I wouldn’t. I also love how excited they are as they examine any portion of Scripture. They help their listeners approach Scripture with new eyes and with an enthusiasm that is contagious.
