In-person Christian fellowship in Seoul
Ninety-four confessional Lutherans from 27 countries attended the Confessional Evangelical Lutheran Conference (CELC) convention in Seoul, South Korea, from June 6–8. The CELC is an international fellowship of 34 confessional Lutheran church bodies, of which WELS is a member. Every three years, representatives from CELC churches gather for theological study, worship, and fellowship.
“This was the first in-person CELC convention since 2017,” notes Thomas Nass, chairman of the Confessional Evangelical Lutheran Conference, “since COVID interrupted our plans in 2020 and 2021. It was a great blessing of God to be able to meet in person again. There is something wonderful about in-person Christian fellowship. To see the faith of our brothers and sisters from around the world is truly inspiring.”
