St. John, Vacaville, Calif., celebrated its 25th anniversary on Sept. 24.


On Sept. 9 and 10, Peace, Milbank, S.D., celebrated its 40th anniversary.


Zion, Monroe, Mich., began a monthly Worship at the Cross service in September. This service is designed for those with special needs and includes music and an adaptive, simple service.

Trinity, Jenera, Ohio, is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its school this year.

Zion, Chesaning, Mich., celebrated its 150th anniversary throughout September.

On Sept. 10, Palabra de Vida, Detroit, Mich., a bilingual WELS home mission, celebrated its 15th anniversary.


St. John’s, New Ulm, Minn., is celebrating its 75th anniversary with a series of special services.


On Sept. 10, Good Shepherd, Cheyenne, Wyo., celebrated its 50th anniversary.

Carbon Valley, Firestone, Colo., celebrated the 20th anniversary in the pastoral ministry of Timothy Spiegelberg on Sept. 10.

St. Peter, Fort Collins, Colo., celebrated its 50th anniversary on Sept. 24.

On Oct. 15, Salem, Colorado Springs, Colo., celebrated its 50th anniversary.


St. Mark, Wallace, Mich., celebrated its 100th anniversary on Sept. 10.

Mt. Olive, Iron Mountain, Mich., celebrated its 100th anniversary on Oct. 15.

Home mission congregation Living Hope, Chattanooga, Tenn., handed off its “church in a box” trailer to Christ the Rock, a new mission in Canton, Ga. Christ the Rock will use the trailer to house and transport the supplies it needs to hold worship services in a local elementary school. Its grand opening worship service is planned for Nov. 12. Living Hope dedicated its own permanent worship facility in March 2022.


On Sept. 24, Hope, Louisville, Ken., celebrated its 50th anniversary.


St. Mark, Normal, Ill., celebrated its 50th anniversary on Sept. 24.

On Oct. 8, St. Peter, Helenville, Wis., celebrated its 175th anniversary.

St. Luke, Watertown, Wis., celebrated its 175th anniversary on Oct. 15.

Over a weekend in September, members of Christ, Eagle River, Wis., participated in an Everyone Outreach workshop presented by WELS Commission on Evangelism (pictured is Eric Roecker, director of Evangelism, presenting at the workshop). Games, activities, and discussions helped the congregation discover where it is at when it comes to reaching the lost, and plans were put in place to think about and participate in more outreach in the future.
