Dan Simons, pastor at Ascension, Macomb, Mich., was asked to preside over a local American Legion’s “Blessing of the bikes” for motorcyclists. Simons, a motorcyclist himself, was told he could say anything he wanted, so he seized the opportunity to tell the church’s neighbors about their Savior. Members of Ascension’s Evangelism Committee also attended and handed out motorcycle kickstands with the church’s contact information on it and talked with attendees.
