What's inside

It’s September—time to head back to school for growth and learning.

Our cover story doesn’t highlight our young people’s growth in knowledge but instead focuses on our called workers’ continuing education. See how their lifelong learning is making a difference for them and their ministries.

Continuing to grow in God’s Word is important for every Christian. That’s why each month Forward in Christ offers a devotion and Bible study. We also focus on explaining important doctrines (this month it’s all about Jesus’ active obedience) in “Please explain” and answering your biblical questions in the Q&A.

I learned much from the articles this month—and not only about God’s Word. I also grew in my understanding of autism. Gavin Schultz, an autistic man with limited verbal communication, has a lot to say about himself and his faith. Read about how he communicates with those around him as well as shares the saving gospel message.
