Happy anniversary!

NA—Grace, Charlotte, N.C., celebrated its 40th anniversary on Feb. 27.


Arizona-California

Mount Calvary, Redding, Calif., hosted a Blessings of Marriage dinner on Feb. 12. Twenty-five couples attended, and teens in the congregation served the meal.


South Atlantic

St Paul Florida

St. Paul, Beverly Hills, Fla., presented its first graders with their first Bibles as gifts from the congregation during its worship service on Feb. 6. Pictured with the students is their teacher, Beth Plath. St. Paul reports that the students came to school on Monday talking about how they spent time reading their new Bibles on Sunday afternoon.

 

Youth Retreat

 

One hundred fifty youth from the South Atlantic District joined together in February in Gatlinburg, Tenn., for a weekend of fellowship and faith-strengthening activities.

 


Western Wisconsin

Bethlehem, Richland Center, Wis., a WELS home mission, was awarded “Nonprofit of the Year” in its community. Dan Lewig, Bethlehem’s pastor, says, “We’re proud and humbled for the community to recognize us in this way. It definitely tells us that our efforts of reaching out and making a difference in our community by sharing the love of Jesus is on the right track!”

Good Shepherd WI Rapids

During the months of January and February, Good Shepherd, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., collected non-perishable food items and toiletries for two local food pantries. As items were collected, Good Shepherd’s students arranged the items in creative ways.

 

 


Southeastern Wisconsin

Zion South MilwaukeeZion, South Milwaukee, Wis., dedicated its new worship facility on Jan. 30.
