Comforter Ministry, Inc., celebrated the milestone of receiving its one thousandth quilt in June. This ministry reaches out to women with cancer with God’s Word and the love of the Comforter through journals and quilts. It has served more than 1,300 women around the world. Living Savior, Asheville, N.C., hosted a hurricane relief community cookout on Oct. 10 following the destruction of Hurricane Helene.

On Oct. 20, Good Shepherd, West Bend, Wis., celebrated the 20th anniversary of its early childhood ministry, Little Lambs Childcare, which has shared the love of Jesus with almost two thousand children and their families.

On Oct. 22, Luther Preparatory School, Watertown, Wis., celebrated the 25th anniversary in the teaching ministry of Brian Mensching.

On Oct. 27, the Rosebud Circuit of the Nebraska District met at Trinity, Winner, S.D., to celebrate the Festival of the Lutheran Reformation and the 500th anniversary of the first Lutheran hymnal. Nathaniel Biebert, pastor at Trinity, composed a service utilizing all eight hymns from the original Lutheran hymnal.

Two students at St. Croix Lutheran Academy, West Saint Paul, Minn., founded a chapter of Letters of Love, which makes homemade cards to support kids in the hospital. More than 30 students met in September to make cards.
