Taste of Missions School Challenge
This spring 48 WELS grade schools competed in the first Taste of Missions School Challenge coordinated by WELS Missions. These classes completed one or more of the activities provided at tasteofmissions.com/schools. Activities encouraged students to learn more about WELS home and world mission fields in fun, age-appropriate ways. The activities are still available to use at home or as part of a Sunday school or vacation Bible school program.

One of the activities from the Taste of Missions School Challenge was for classes to sing along to a video of "Jesus Loves Me" with children from South Asia, Antigua, Russia, and the United States. The kindergarten class at Jerusalem Lutheran School in Morton Grove, Ill., took it one step further and sang along in English, Mandarin, and Korean! The school is located in a diverse community and reaches out with the gospel to many Asian cultures.
