Five new district presidents elected
Each WELS district holds a convention once every two years, in the year between synod conventions. These conventions allow delegates to consider local ministry topics and issues that apply to the synod at large as well as to hold elections for district officers and committee members.
|
|
This year’s conventions, held in June, focused mainly on elections in 5 of WELS’ 12 districts because these districts did not have an incumbent on the ballot for district president.
