Campus ministry matters
WELS Campus Ministry is celebrating its 100th anniversary. What do WELS campus ministries mean to the students who are a part of them?
|
"Campus ministry helped me to gain friends and gather together with them each week. It also helped me to stay strong in my faith and set aside time for my Lord each week. It was nice to have a support group of students who I knew believed the same thing I did. Having this group helped me remember that I am not alone attending a public university as a young Christian." — Emily Scharenbroch, University of Wisconsin–La Crosse

"The transition from a WELS high school to a public college was a huge one, but I could always count on the campus ministry gatherings every month. Finding an amazing church through campus ministry was a huge blessing as well." — Hailey Russ, Carroll University

"The group of WELS Christians that I associated with really helped me stay grounded in my faith in the midst of many different faith influences. Pharmacy school was very stressful, and it helped to have my faith as a relief through it all. I realized that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." — Tamara Rose, South Dakota State University
